The AM2011 houses a 0.3 megapixel digital camera and offers 10x-200x magnification at 640x480 resolution. It contains 4 always-on LED lights and provides live imaging via USB 2.0 and the included DinoCapture software. If more illumination is required, we recommend upgrading to the AM3011 with 8 LED lights or the AM3011T with 8 LED lights and Microtouch technology which allows instant capture of photos and video by simply touching the top of the unit.

In our opinion a key feature is the excellent color resolution which is unparalleled at this price point. It is better than most, more expensive digital microscopes and is achieved by use of a sophisticated jeweler's color balance. The focus mechanism is intriguing.
